I sat with my God  and  learned ------ Counting the stars I learned the numbers Naming the flowers I learned the alphabets Colouring the animals I learned drawing Moulding the clay I learned the craft. Smelling the sweet scenting flowers I learned to dance Tapping my feet I learned to walk Clapping my hands I learned to praise Shedding my tears I learned to comfort. Babbling with my lips I learned to speak Joining my hands I learned to pray Holding a pen I learned to write Viewing the blue sky I learned to see. Listening to the birds I learned to sing Sharing my joys I learned to love Feeling the pain I learned to empathise Knowing the right and wrong I learned to choose. Following the leader I learned to lead Forgiving the wrong done I learned to enjoy Giving and receiving I learned to share Caring for others I learned to earn. Resting my head on Him I learned to sleep Following my Master I learned to live Sitting at His feet I learned to rest secure Living my life with Him I learned to be what He wants me to be.
